DIRECTOR OF PRACTICAL EFFECTS
OLIVER JONES, formerly credited as Supervisor of Animation Rigging for Kubo and the Two Strings, The Boxtrolls, and ParaNorman, now adds oversight of all physical and mechanical animation - including puppets, props, and rigging - to his new role as Director of Practical Effects. Prior to LAIKA, Ollie's credits include The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride. He received his BA in sculpture from Chelsea College of Art and his MA in Animation from Royal College of Art, London. He has been with LAIKA since 2007 and was nominated for a VFX Academy Award for his work on Kubo and the Two Strings.
