Summary: The Mitchells, a working class family from Buffalo, NY, are watching their local football team, the Buffalo Bills, lose another game -- the world is bleak and disappointing. Suddenly, there’s a fumble and the Bills recover the ball. The Mitchells/ world gets bright and optimistic as the entire town turns out and wildly cheers their team. But hope is fleeting as the touchdown is disallowed and the Bills lose. The Mitchells sink back to their disappointing world as the title supers: “Without Sports, We’d Stop Believing."
